Carla Gabrí was born and raised in a small village called Zizers, where she developed a strong fascination for minimalistic, geometric art, the color black and symmetric scenography. In line with this rigorous sense of aesthetics, she began expressing herself as a director in film and theater and as a mettrice en scène in photography. In her latest project, she creates unique portraits of women sans visage using acrylics, spatulas and coffee that explore the interconnection of vision/illusion and identity/projection.
Gabrí currently lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
